I was going for the 50mm 1.4 but I've been thinking tonight how I don't need AF, So I started looking at:

Leica Summicron -R 50mm f/2 or the carl Zeiss planar T* 50mm f/1.7 Which one would you get, I can't decide. :(

You might want to look at the Sigma 1.4 as well.

6D, G9, Sigma 50 1.4, Sigma 15mm Fisheye, Sigma 50 2.8 macro, Nikon 14-24G 2.8, Canon 16-35 2.8 II, Canon 24-105 f/4 IS, Canon 70-200 2.8 IS, tripod, lights, other stuff.

Hmm I did look at the Sigma but for some reason I wernt so keen on it, I have heard great reviews about it but something keeps pulling me away from it.

I like my Contax 50mm f1.7. It's definitely very sharp with the "micro" details. :) I think it's sharper and has better color than Canon. I haven't used Leica so I can't say. Have you also considered Zuiko 50mm f2.0 (cheap) or Nikkor 50mm f1.8? They're great too.

OM mount, right? The 50/f2 is a weird "Power focus" lens for the OM 101 and probably not a good choice. Any of the other 50/55 OM Zuikos would be better.

Cheapest is the 50/1.8, but at higher prices, and with lesser availability are 50/1.4, 50/1.2, 55/1.2. There's also a hellish sharp 50/3.5 macro.

There's some good data on OM lenses -->here (external link)<--. The oddest thing about that site is that although it is obviously maintained by people passionate about lenses, they can't spell the word correctly!

There's tons of good ones, and honestly it won't really cost you much (if any) more to get f1.4, so I wouls skip the f2 and f1.7 models. More speed is always better

Check out:
SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4 (Or Super Takumar, SMC has better coating)
Olympus 50mm f1.4 MC
Contax Zeiss 50mm f1.4

Thanks for the input, I've not looked at 50 OM Zuikos they do a 1.2 version? Damn! I have not idea how much these are worth checked ebay on the 55mm 1.2 one and someone is trying to sell it for £299,
Tkbslc I'll have a peak at Olympus 50mm f1.4 MC but I've not heard much about it compared to the others.

I'm being pulled here and there at the moment so many to choose from which one is the best which is the best price etc! Also I can't work out how much each is worth as alot of them have a wide price range...

Carl Zeiss 50mm f1.7 Contax T* I'm guess price range would be £120ish right?
Super-multi-coated takumar 50mm 1.4 Price range £70ish which tkbslc said about?I've heard it the mirror hits lens back when focussing to infinity on the 5d?
Leica Summicron 2/50 mm* I can't put down a price as there are different models which has just lost me I've seen them go from £150+
The Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f/1.4 not sure how much these are worth...
