Hi Pekka,
I was doing some searches on the net when looking for parts for my 1Ds MKII and I came across them on a website. They all seem legit and very useful. :-)

Alan

I can't remember how I found them, but if you would prefer the links up here then I can try and repeat the search I did and see what I can find?

are we talking this (external link) sort of schematic / partlist?
or are we talking this (external link) sort?

I've got a 1D MK II in the process of repair and would love to get a copy of the latter type...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

hi Joeseph,
it is more like the first, but with pages of schematics showing all the individual parts, where and how they fit together and a list of the part numbers......

I would love a copy of the second type to. :-)

Yeah, that schematics doc got me thinking "Oh, I could then order that and change that"...and then I thought back to the guy that tried changing the shutter on his 30D and recorded it for us to enjoy.

This is interesting, but no way I'm opening my 1D3 myself with all of the seals

chuckle.. yeah I am in no way condoning having a hack at your camera just for the sake of it..... and for that matter haveing a hack at all.....

just out of interest really....

and there may be some who have the older cameras that feel they could repair it given the above drawings :-) just an option.....
