I wish more would participate.....
hint.. spread the word and keep the macro speed challenge alive...

Now that I got that out...
Your submissions were great and actually was hard to choose a winner....but..

1st place goes to "Optical" Spaghetti by Warl0rd
It looked similar to fiber optics, great color and light please share how you got the spaghetti to share the light ;)

Way to go Warl0rd -- my favorite shot from this week as well!

Although I did have an urge to buy some gum drops and a six pack of corona for some reason :-)

Nice job everybody.

Thanks for the vote John, yes I will explain, its actually very simple :)

I placed a reasonable amount of Spaghetti (not cooked) inside a tall water glass on the floor, that would keep it close together and my hands free. then I set the tripod above the glass and the camera facing down. I MF near the tip of the Spaghetti's, I shoot in Av mode with exposure for ambient light, and using my other hand placed the flash near the spaghetti (on the top of it, but away so it doesn't show on the picture) using an off camera cord. Thats it, the flash will bright up the tip of the spaghetti, the rest is shadow and DOF.

Good entries guys, and yeah I hope we keep this alive, Its keeping me busy during these winter days :)

I will start a new challenge asap :)

Congrats, Warl0rd! Kudos to all the other entries.
Sorry I missed it this week, John. It wasn't because of the theme. I've been a little preoccupied with some other things and the camera gear has taken a back seat. I've missed several challenges I usually try to enter. Between work, exercising (trying to get myself back in shape), and home stuff, I just haven't been able to make time to shoot. I'll try to get back on track this week though. :)

I may be fascinated with volcanoes, but the name's Lisa.
