I did my own book covers, let me know what you think of them!

I'm not a fan of the first images PP, but the image seems fitting due to the title. Personally, I'd shift the sword to the left, then align the text to it. I'd also choose a different typeface. Try DaFont (external link) to see if you can find a better one, IMHO.

The second image is fitting due to the biohazard/radiation tie in, but Comic Sans is far from fitting. I think one like St. Andrews (external link), Urbana (external link), Ransom (external link) or a combination of those would work better.

A stylized version of the radiation/biohazard symbol could work a bit better as well, imo.

Is the second book a fictional book? The front page makes it look like it's a book on poison, industry, pollution. If the book is about these things and belongs in the science/business section, then it's great. However, if it's fictional, it's not appealing to me at all.

It is hard to judge a book by it's cover. ;)

I tried a version with just the nuclear plant and it was rather dull.I was hoping to jaz it up a bit with the rad symbol. Yes it is a fictional book about theft of enriched nuclear fuel.

I'm not really into the second one. Nothing wrong with the picture itself. It's the writing font and the radioactive logo that I'm really not feeling. Kind of like someone in school just placing it there as a cover page for their assignment. And it's hard to read your name on the bottom there. But that's just my opinion...

As for the first one, I can see that on a book shelf.

That description gives off more of a dark, grimey look. That's probably just me personally. But I'd try find a barrel with gunk oozing out, dark background. Something like

maybe a picture of it more clearly would work better. But I think you get the idea.

Or even, something completely different like this

Personally, I'd pick up the book that has more of a dark, oozing barrel look, rather than an industry look with that logo. That's just me personally though.
