I paid the full $1700 for it, and it showed up the next day. I don't think you'll find a better deal. -- It comes with a $50 mail-in rebate, though.

+1. Purchased mine from Cameta on eBay for $1599 - $128 (8% Bing CB) - $50 Canon Rebate - $32 (eBay Bucks) totalling $1389 shipped.

If I'm right, I think it's the one where if you purchases a camera before October 2009, and registered it with canon, and if you upgrade to a newer series you get a 50 dollar rebate...I think.

I bought a couple things from them. Before I purchased the first, I called to see who they were and they emailed me their information. They've been easy to deal with.

Interesting, since CCR is a New York store (with a dead website) and Cardinal Camera appears to be in Pennsylvania.

I called their toll free number and got a call center that didn't know. I then called Canon USA and they could not find a CCR Camera or anything close to that in PA. I was thinking of buying until those calls.

The rep at Canon USA said people say they are authorized all the time and some are not. Hopefully they are authorized for the people that buy form them. Good deals if they are.

I got mine at best buy - if you have their card you'll get a coupon for 10% off every couple of months
$1900 with kit lens
$1710 after 10% coupon - coupon good in store only i think
$1665 after the $45 best buy points - bought one of my kids a video game for Christmas
$1395 after i sold the kit lens on ebay
plus tax
18 months no interest if paid in full
they were competitive on the camera - they are not on a lot of other things
