Taken yesterday at around 6PM (Central) in my subdivision in Pearland, Texas. It's the first time I tried HDR so CC is welcome. Thanks.
The first one was a combination of three pictures. The second one is of two pictures.

Thank you. I had to use the tripod but I didn't use the cable so the pictures are a little soft when I combined them in photomatrix.

That's very cool! I want to try some HDR but I'll have to get my teenage daughter to help me:cry:

It is very easy to create a HDR picture in Photomatix. You can google it for more info.

I like those. Not too over the top for HDR, nice colors.

Both look exceptional, but #1 seems to have the sharpness and looks a little more natural.

Well done

I like the first. Colors and clouds in the sky make it interesting. I like that the houses are better exposed than in the second, but I think they could still use a little more lighting.

For a first timer in HDR photography, I must say you really did a wonderful job. Photo #1 is my favorite. Love the fiery colors, reflection, and composition. I can see that photo on canvas, hanging on a wall somewhere.

Cheers!

Thank you everybody for your kind words.
Anybody see a fire bird in the red sky or are my eyes fooling me? It looks clearer in the first picture.
:)
