Thanks guys! I have been playing around for a little while trying to get the look just right, pretty happen with it. Heres the basic run down of my pp...

I started with slightly over exposing the shot in camera, then upped the exposure/brightness a little more in lightroom, lowered the saturation and contrast, then with the curves i brought down the highlights quite a bite, lightened up the shadows to give it that washed look. With split toning, i did beige on the highlights and blue on the shadows

Yeah, I agree that your results are terrific. Thanks for spelling it out!

If it makes you feel any better, I have often considered selling my 70-200 f/2.8 IS and just keeping the 135 because the zoom is just so much bigger, heavier, and not any better in terms of IQ (though it does have IS). I'm not offering to sell it, but what I'm saying is that you might not really need it, esp. if you love the 135.

This is the dilemma I face, flexibility of the 70-200 would be great but don't have the money to buy without selling the 135L. I just can't do that!

d.

The rules state that 1000 pix is the max allowed. Not everyone has a widescreen laptop and no one cares that it looks fine on yours. I am sure there are a LOT of people whos screen it does NOT fit on. On the other hand, I have a 24" screen that is 1920x1200.

I do not want to have to use all my screen real-estate to make my browser full screen to view a photo...

... that has been POSTED BEFORE, in which the only difference is the EYES being closed or not.

Ctrl + or Ctrl - to make any pictures feet any screens ..
For a lens forum it's better to get bigger pictures than just get stamps to analyse technical aspects of pictures ..
