Some brilliant shots there Dan. Great lighting, detail and colours. The female Cardinal is a doozy !!!
I'm not sure if the perches in the last two shots have been positioned there by you or not but one thing that someone pointed out to me once was to try and use perches without the chainsawed/sawn-off flat ends. Just makes the images a bit more natural.
Thanks so much for looking in and appreciate the comments, Yeah I don't typically go for a perch like these, But Its a woodpecker tree I have setup in a Christmass tree stand of sorts I made out of PVC, These guys have decided to use it as well, and so it goes from there ))

Super shots Dan, looks like you had a good time anyway. Good thing I coldn't go to Iowa with you or you would have stood me up again!
Sometimes it is really just hard to beat the good old back yard!
Thanks allot, Yeah Its hard to beat the backyard, But its fun to get on different things also, I got about 100,000 Images from the yard it's getting a bit stale, wanting to shoot some different things.

What a gorgeous set of photographs Dan. I love the composition in the House Finch shot. That's sensational.
Glad you liked them, I worked my fanny off to get a Bird to land on that Monkey Ball perch, this guy hit it for all of 5 seconds, was all I could do to get on him in time...
Thanks Happy you liked them

Dan...these are amazing. The blue jay shot is great regardless if the sun faded...I personally enjoy the look of faded/diffused light.
Your too kind, appreciate the warm feedback, Happy you liked them...
