Just picked up a 35L. Loving it so far. Got the 85 1.2 in my sights.

Oh dear, I just bought a 135 f/2 off of ebay. $875-10% Bing + $28 shipping = $815 total. I hope I got a good deal - most lenses here at POTN are selling for around $900

Finally got a chance to shoot with my new 35L and 135L on Sunday. Fantastic lenses, especially the 135L, that is a sharp lens!

Sounds about like what I did. If I discount the cheap 50mm which I had for less than a month, my first two primes were the 500mm ƒ/4 and the 300mm ƒ/2.8 then I went backwards in focal length for the rest. But, best to start off at the top, right?

My name is John and I only shoot with Primes also.

Cleaned out the zooms and got a 50mm 1.4 and the 200mm 2.8L. Looking for another fix soon. Probably an 85mm, then a 500mm.

Used. Now I'm wondering if I should pick up a 1.4x TC with the money I saved :D

I am just finding this thread, I'm fairly new to using primes (within the last year) but I have definitely fallen head over heals for them. I'm currently using the 135L and the 85 1.8 and I've planned to sink my tax return into a 35L...can't wait...the results that I see from that lens are IMO just about as close to magical as one can get.

I've been meaning to post here but I have been having a hard time with my new prime addiction. My 300 f/4 IS convinced me to order the 100mm macro. It needed another sharp lens to keep it company.

I'm afraid that if I buy a 50 f/1.4 or 35 f/2, I'll be completely lost to the deadly primus tacksharpus virus. :\
