You must spend a fortune of matting and framing because ALL of your shots are wall hangers!! These shots really make me want to give up even trying......:(

Anyone else wonder if Jim could have got the same stunnings shots with a 'lesser' camera? I sure do :) Not that the 1D MK IV isn't impressive, but Jim's got some amazing skills too.

Very nice Jim. Actually outstanding, I have had my MKIV for about 3 weeks now and have not had a chance to get it hooked up to my 500 for anything worthwhile yet. I am interested if you are reading all the concerns about the new firmware update causing soft images with BIF shots!! I upgraded and shoot NHL hockey and I am not seeing any of this, but I am shooting with a completely different lenses and enviroment. If you already have the new firmware then obviously you are not having any issues, but if you have not upgraded, take a peek at this link and maybe you can offer some insite to those that are........

Hi Jim,
These are incredible images. The snail kites are endangered and hard to spot. Its great that you are able to document such rare moments. Thanks for posting. What lens are you using?
