I know what you were trying to do with the second edit but it just didn't quite work. The first is a great shot but drozz's edit makes it for me. The focus of the shot is spot on by him taking away the distraction of the tag, string and sheet in the background. And by darkening the background it brings a nice overall balance to the shot.

I agree that the full color version is much better. #2 doesn't do the cuteness of the baby any justice.

It's got a "wow" factor - nicer contrast, texture and saturation throughout, but I ask myself "is that a baby or a plastic doll" and I just don't know... :-/.

I really like the first one alot. #2 doesnt do it for me.
