So you just called and ordered the kit last week and they sent it out already?

Sometimes its better to call in an order than do it on line. I was told that if I ordered online it would be March, if I ordered over the phone it would ship Monday from Philly. Looks like it is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

So I talked to two different people this morning and got two different story's about how they ship. Call number three said that my order was shipping today from one of the CA. stores and I can call in the morning to get a tracking number.

I think this will be the last time I order anything from them.

I ordered my 200 kit Tuesday online and will be here Monday according to UPS Tracking. A nice gentlemen called to verify it was me that was ordering, my shipping address. Said he had to call my work to make sure I worked there because my shipping was different than my billing. Understandable.

I noticed you live in the snobs. Are you on 502 by the same name?

I called again to get my tracking number..... Guess what .... No tracking number and there telling me that its going out today, Just what I was told yesterday. I said that's what I was told yesterday and he was said that great phrase of "I'm sorry they said that, but it will go out today". One minute later he's telling me that none of the stores have them in stock and he has no idea how people are getting them.

I said the other store said they just got 300 units and were filling orders and I got the " ahhhh Oh".

So.. Anyone have some links to a $300ish 200w twin light kit? I think its time I stop dealing with them.

Rob

Well I got a call from Calumet Photo and I'm not going to go into details yet, but if all goes well next week I should have some lights.

I think Caumet is accidentally pissing off a couple of customers by trying to help as many as possible. i think the web site automatically sends the order to the closest store and if they are OOS, you wait. but if you call in an order and someone actually sees it, they do their best to locate one and get it out to you.

i ordered mine last thursday, they shipped them out Friday from Philly and I had them on my door step Monday afternoon. but I followed up after my order to ask for an estimated ship date.

I just called and was told that both the 200 and 400 lights were out of stock until end of Feb. I think I will call each day and get a status update.
