Found a 5d here for 1050 with grip and battery
it's coming in tmrw I'm so excited for FF!!
Any tips for this camera?

Great price - and fantastic camera. Have fun and enjoy the camera - you might want to save up a bit and get a second job for what you will want in lenses.

You will see an increase in image quality and performance, but to get the best out of it you will want to get something more than the 28-135. I'd suggest you look into some nice primes, and/or perhaps a 70-200/4 (non-IS version). A 70-200 on a 5d is just about the perfect people/portrait lens.

One thing I do notice about the 5d, is that it is generally very forgiving of exposure mistakes (in RAW) and images come out of the camera (in standard pic style) needing no postprocessing if the exposure and white balance are right. The only nit I have with mine is that the LCD is not very bright outside nor accurate inside. Shots that look fine on the LCD are usually a little dark when viewed any other way, so I just set my viewfinder brightness to one step below the middle (2 I think).

Yeah, the LCD is pretty much useless for anything but histogram. That's about all I use it for.
