How to achieve this kind of bokeh?

I'm scratching my head as to how this photographer got this bokeh. The only thing I could think of is that she shot through a window with morning dew dripping from it and focused on the birds off in a distance. Other than that, could this be a composite?

As the moderators will probably tell you soon, you must remove the image which is not yours and, instead, post a link to it.

Regarding the out-of-focus areas (which are NOT "bokeh"), your guess sounds quite reasonable to me.

Bokeh, by the way, is a word relating to the (unmeasurable) qualities of out-of-focus areas (generally background blur) of an image. Some folks use the word to mean "background blur", but that's not the accepted meaning of the word in the photographic community.

My guess is no. If shot thru a window, the OOF dew drops would be between the camera and subject. That would distort the electrical lines. They don't look distorted to me, nor diffused. The blurred highlights to me look to be behind the lines.

Appears to be the art of selection.

May be some sort of water fall or reflective surface behind it.

The other possibility is that it is a layered shot on PS!?

It was only shot with a Sony DSC-H9!

Exact same thing in all the pics I believe its photoshopped. Ask her what she did most people will tell you.

I captured a similar phenomenon in this shot, which was taken on a misty/rainy evening:

You can easily replicate the look as well without use of photoshop. There is a company that sells cheap add ons to your lens. You can also probably make DYI with a hole puncher. Life Hacker had an article about it a while back. There is a link to a site that sells them.

That's pretty neat -- a bit 'kitschy' and easily overdone, but an awfully cheap and easy way to get an interesting effect. I'd like to see those lens caps combined with a starlight filter.
