Sorry, I know these two Capitals are already posted but I've only just found this thread....the Tallahasse one was through a cars windshield ... the Indy one was taken from the roof of a nearby hotel, hope they're acceptable...
regards.

Such a great thread -- awesome shots, everyone! I am half-tempted to take a trip to Maine and get one for ya.

Great additions. Love the shot of Indy at night. Surprised this thread got resurrected. I figured it was a goner, since no one had posted for a while.

Remaining:

Alabama Montgomery
Delaware Dover
Maine Augusta
Mississippi Jackson
New Jersey Trenton

I'll be traveling again this summer, but not to any of the remaining states. We need help to meet the objective.

however, Atlanta, GA, wins my vote for prettiest Capitol on my trip. the lighting was finally nice and the view coming in I-20 from Columbia, SC, was spectacular against the Atlanta skyline. too bad the city has such a homeless problem. and, from what i hear, i am glad i didnt come through here at night, given the neighborhood. (i've heard people on the south side of the city are rather aggressive....so beware if you try to get a night shot.)

Yea, I wouldn't suggest going to the state capitol to take pictures at night. I lived in the southside suburbs for a summer during an internship and went around taking photos on one of my last nights in the metro area. There were a few times that I was asked for money and such, and I did feel a bit uncomfortable with all my gear, but it all turned out all right. Growing up in Memphis, TN I was used to panhandlers asking for money.

They are aggressive because that is where the touristy areas are: State Capitol, Turner Field, and Olympic-Centennial Park (Georgia Dome/Phillips Arena/CNN Center/World of Coke/Georgia Aquarium/Westin Hotel) are all on the southside part of downtown, so they follow the money.

I started a couple of threads yesterday with recent shots of the Minnesota capital before I found this thread. Here are a couple interior shots I took. More posted here and here.

I want to see us get them all. (Cool sense of humor on the Puerto Rico shot, too.) So, I guess we are after all 51 buildings?
