Is there ANY reason that I shouldn't sell my 30d and replace it with a 1d mark ii that has a newly replaced shutter with a low shutter count?

It seems like a good idea to me, but there are a ton of people on here who know a lot more about cameras than I do, so hopefully someone can offer me some sound advice.

Thanks!

Sounds like an excellent upgrade to me! If you have the opportunity and the funds, I'd say go for it.

Well, they are two years apart... not sure if there are any features in a 30D that are not present in a 1D2. But sounds like a good upgrade to me.

The 1D2 rocks! It is my #1 camera, ahead of my 40D which I also really like. The AF is still world class.

Apart from a couple of differences, the 1D2 is pretty much a 30D on steroids. Brilliant camera.

Keep in mind that EF-S lenses won"t work on a 1D though.

Thats good but you realize te 1D is not a FF body. It's an APS-H 1.3 crop factor. Sweet body though.

Once you shoot with a pro body it will ruin you... you were warned! :D

You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away and know when to run
You never count your money when you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin' when the dealing's done

i think i was actually reading something you had written awhile back saying how you were super excited about your "new" 1dmk2 that had arrived but that it was rainy out so you couldn't go out and play...

that's so exciting to know how stoked you are about the 1dmk2... thanks for the vote of confidence!

I'd be interested in seeing this answered as well.
