So I have a tamron 17-35 that I accidentally dropped and now the focus ring seems to be making a funky noise when I use autofocus or manual focus it. This is obviously a very cheap lens and if it is worth trying to get fixed? Anyone ever get a similar repair from Tamron?

Quick, sell it on eBay. Why not call Tamron? Could be getting an estimate is free if you send it to them.

The Tamron 17-35 is a decent to good lens, at least optically. All depends on your budget. You'll need to send it in for an estimate, and go from there. They will give you an estimate and then you decide whether to have them fix it or have it returned to you. Being in Long Island, they aren't far from you.
