Havnt posted as im over in the US for photoshoots and seeing my girlfriend but figure id post an old photo I found and did a little work on.
be as brutal as you like, if you want a theme or reason for the photo then its for an actors persona.

I like the composition and the light on the face but his hair and clothes have no contrast against that background which keeps drawing my eye ....

I think it is because its too dark at the bottom.

I think the fact that his right arm disappears makes it a bit awkward. Bringing out the detail of his suit would make this better.

Overall though, I like the lighting and the tone of the photo.

I don't know if it would fit in with the actor's persona, but I think this subject and background would look good in a noir style- darker, less direct light, more shadows. Add some intrigue, lots of potential for that here.... It's a good shot though, I like the expression, background, composition, the lighting.

as said above the bottom is too dark, i'd see what it looks like croped at the 2nd button

feedback pretty much captures the overall response, more separation form background needed. But nice lighting on the face.

I like the over all tonality of the image. It has a nice feel, and yes, the face is lit nicely. :) I just gripe about the weird graduation to darkness at the bottom.
