You know they always say there are lots of birds here and they are pretty
easy to get close to. I thought I would post this photo from the Viera Wetlands I took this week.
Sorry for the detail because I jumped out of the car and just snapped it.
There are in this shot 5 GBH and one more that was a few yard away.
In my trip around the wetlands I counted 20 GBH and many other birds.

We can't complain about opportunity for sure.

Viera is a great place, but there are so many great places. It's a birding paradise, for sure. I am very grateful for the opportunities we have here.

I've taken a week and a 2-week vacation to Florida just to shoot birds throughout the state. It is amazing! The weather doesn't suck, either.......

No doubt about it, an amazing state for bird/wildlife photography. Fortunately I'm within hours of being in the middle of it all, can't wait to go back.

Thanks for posting this Garry, maybe I'll run into you at Viera.

Garry you fellows are really fortunate. The last time that I saw this many GBHs was on an estuary in Prince Edward Island.

Gotta agree with those voting for Florida. Lots of GBHs and a great variety of other birds.

I only wish it was slightly warmer.........

No question, it has been a lousy winter here. I keep telling myself, however bad it is here, most of the country is much worse. Now, Hawaii is another thing altogether.
