I had one on order but then decided that 70-200 will be enough for me.

I'd rather have the Sigma 20-500 f/2.8.. At an affordable ~$20,000.

I can't believe it went up to 120,000 Last time I saw that lens it was only 99,000. Inflation is a ****!

Well, I certainly feel a little foolish. I was looking at telephoto lenses and hadn't seen that BH had that one before, and wondered what the folks here had to say about it. I looked for earlier threads but somehow missed all of them. Oh well, live and learn.

Hurry! Edit your post and make it look like you never started this thread. Then turn the table on everyone, making them look foolish talking about random things.

"What are you all talking about? My question pertains to the nifty fifty! Stop hijacking my thread (that I already hijacked)."

I'm thinking of buying the 1200mm, the 5200mm from ebay and every image of the guy holding the Sigma 200-500 f/2.8 and putting the lot on a bonfire :D

Don't worry about it---its good to have new blood on the forum and as you can see many people haven't seen it before. Let me be the first to warn you not to begin a thread with any of these:

"Which is better, the 24-70 or the 24-105?"
"I have X amount to spend, what should I buy?"
"Is full frame that much better than crop?"
"Is IS worth the extra money?"
"What's more important--camera or glass?"
"Should I use a filter?"
"Do I need a tripod since my lens has IS?"
"Will dust on my lens affect image quality?"

6D, G9, Sigma 50 1.4, Sigma 15mm Fisheye, Sigma 50 2.8 macro, Nikon 14-24G 2.8, Canon 16-35 2.8 II, Canon 24-105 f/4 IS, Canon 70-200 2.8 IS, tripod, lights, other stuff.
