Me too! Really like the capabilities of this lens. Here's a review I found for those of you who are interested.

Thanks for the review, the 17-40L destroys it but at twice the price that's to be expected, I wish the-digital-picture.com would review it, their reviews are usually quite helpful with a lot of good information and pictures, I have heard great things and bad things about this lens and I would reallllly like it to be a good lens as its FL is really good and it is much faster than alot of other lenses, combined with HSM and OS and only a $450 price tag this is a deal if its got good quality! --hoping--

Here's another review, but it's in Korean. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out some of the stuff except for the conclusion at the end. It includes comparison pictures in different apertures, but no comparisons to other lenses. Here's the link:

debating between this lens and the 24-105 f/4 L IS, hard to compare as you could get 2 of these for the L eek

This range would fit perfectly over my Tokina 11-16mm. I'm very impressed by the result. Seems like a bargain for the price.

There's not enough photo sharing on this lens!! I know people have this lens! Post em up!

I just recently got this lens and its fantastic! But, i am coming from a kit lens so anything is better then that, haha.

well, i believe that this lens is super sharp! i love it and its a great lens. All these pictures are right out of my XSi, absolutely no PP.

I've run across two more reviews of this lens - both positive:

Picked this lens up recently and have been pretty happy with it so far. Here is a quick snap I took of my daughter while she was enjoying a cupcake last night.

I'm interested in this lens. I currently have a 24-105 on a 40D and it isn't wide enough. It also isn't fast enough in doors as I have a 2 month old that doesn't like flash very much. This thread is fairly thin...

How new is this lens? Does it not have enough history to be trusted? I noticed the sigma website no defaults to a flash add for this lens and I just saw it in last months Pop Photo (full page add).

What do you all think?

acorean, the pictures in the non OS thread look great, if it keeps the quality of that one, I may do this lens instead of the 15-85 IS USM, EDIT: just read a true review, apparently it is HSM but has no ftm, still is a hypersonic motor though and is silent and pretty quick, the review i read said .6-.7 of a second from end to end of focus
