It's a swizzle. A couple of printers apparently. Not the news I was hoping for at all!

CR fails once more.

I personally got told that nothing was coming out right now.

He wasn't told by any CR3 sources either. We should take this into account ourselves, before getting all worked up next time. I really like the work he's doing over there.

LarryM,

We are kindred spirits you and I. But sadly I believe Canon will not return to the Eye focus system in a hurry. As wonderful as it was once the camera had been to school, It was not the popular success they had hoped, probably because many failed to grasp that the camera needed time to learn how the users eye worked or were just too lazy to teach it.

I'd go further. Why not a screen completely full of AF points packed shoulder to shoulder? Managed via the Eye-Control system and combined with some kind of shape recognition system it would be my dream. Imagine being able to tell the camera to stay focused on an eyeball and as long as that eyeball was somewhere in the frame, it would hold focus regardless.

Stealthy Ninja,

Now I'm a senior citizen (well, nearly), I wear glasses for any reading, but don't use them with the camera. I imagine it depends whether you are have to correct for long or short sight?

Does the viewfinder adjustment not do the trick for you?

I need glasses for seeing in the distance (I'm short sighted). I like to be able to see what's happening around me (in the distance) to see if it's worth photographing.

The adjustment thing does work of course, but as soon as I take my eye away I can't see very well again.

I guess I could just not wear them (my eyesight isn't too bad) but I'm too use to wearing glasses (and I don't like the feel of contact lenses).

WARNING: Never look directly at the sun, it truly will mess up your eyes. LFMF

Subscribing for future info. By the time the 1ds is announced I should have enough pennies saved.

Assuming 175 pennies weigh a pound, then you will have about 4,500 pounds of pennies. I hope you own a wheelbarrow.

If our currencies keep getting devalued we'll need a wheelbarrow full of large denomination notes to buy one...
