On my version, not only was the lens mis-focussing (front/back) upon new purchase, but it was inconsistent...sometimes back, sometimes front depending on distance from subject. After a trip to Sigma, and a calibration, it is definitely more consistent, so I don't worry about that anymore. Matt l My Galleries
