It's been nothing but snow here for (too many) months. I cannot wait until the weather warms up and people are out and about again. ![]() PREACH IT BROTHER Kevin

I'm around, just busy.. and I didn't use the Sigma at all. 16-35 on one, 70-200 on the other... standard setup for PJ, IMO. ••Vancouver Wedding Photographer

For sharpness, I would shoot something with higher contrast such as black texts with white background. One Imaging Photography

Also have I set my standards too high for this lens?

Also have I set my standards too high for this lens? You have an excellent Canon 1.8. I would send the Sigma into service so you're not left wondering. I feel like mine is sharper wide open than yours but I can't be certain since I didn't shoot the same image. Also some of the value of this lens is the intense buttery fall-off of focus, not just the sharpness. ••Vancouver Wedding Photographer

I agree that my copy of the 1.8 is already quite sharp, so it's hard to improve much on it. I will take your advice and send it in since I feel it has slight front focus too. Thanks!
