I've been contemplating the 15-85 since release and I just put down the plastic to bring it home. I have the Tamron 17-50 (no VC) which I have loved, especially for the price. However, I shoot outdoors more than indoors and would like more width and length. The 15-85 is going to fit me perfectly and I do love me some IS. I thought about the Canon 17-55 and Tamron VC version but I want a more general purpose lens.
I thought I would probably miss f/2.8 for the indoors so I'm picking up a Canon 35mm f/2 along with it. The combo of wide end 15mm f/3.5 IS, 35mm f/2, and a 430EX should keep me plenty happy! From what I've seen, these two lenses will really open up the range of shots I can take in comparison to my Tammy 17-50. Anyone want to buy it?
