according to the website the 30d is better than the 5d.

It's a good day if I'm looking down at the grass and not up at the roots.

30d is better then XTi, however XTi is better then 20d..

What does the age of the camera have to do with ANYTHING??

I would take the comparison thing with a grain of salt.........
I have both a 40D and a 1Ds MarkII
I did the comparison on the two, and it declared the 40D the winner. I cannot even begin to explain how much more superior the 1Ds is to my 40D. With that said, I keep my 40D for very specific purposes, and I guess I should mention my D60 too. Still cannot part with it!

Yeah, i thought about it further. I went with the 50D instead.

If you need to know specs of one camera versus another, this isn't a terrible site. To use it as a true comparison tool is unthinkable.

There was a gal that worked for the company I work for (a camera retailer). She sent this in a global e-mail telling all associates that it was a great thing, perhaps the greatest since sliced bread. I had to stop myself - several times - from responding, just totally blasting the site. If I walked into a camera store, and this was the site the salesman was using, I'd have to turn right around; and that's not what I want people thinking about my company!

I think I would wait until the person gave me the results (similar to the above ) and then loudly rip her to shreds for actually repeating that rubbish!;)

I was comparing my cameras and I think it works a bit better when you compare across brands with units along the same lines. (like don't compare a consumer dSLR with a Pro).

If it works, it is only a fluke. All it does is add up the points scores for the PRO'S and CON'S.

Any camera with flash or video is going win over one lacking those features. The 7D has both and is currently unbeatable. Even against pro bodies. Go figure.

Yeah, I compared my 5D vs my xTi and the 5D came out a runnerup.

Because it has no flash and can't shoot action.

Goofy numbers game.

I don't know...

I've gotten flak here for commenting on dSLR's with video - people do sometimes make a decision on a dSLR based on its video capabilities over its snapshots...

most awesome to discover that my rebel xti is better than my 1dmark11n.
wonder why canon doesn't charge more for the xti, or should i be miffed that they charge so much for the 1d?
i wonder if they do lens comparisons?
my Quantery 135-400 would most like wipe out the lowly 100-400L!
