If you were to get this card, you would have a 6 pin firewire-400 port.
With this cable, connect the larger 'male' end of this cable to your computer (the one on the right) http://www.amazon.com …B001TH7GVY/ref=pd_sim_e_1 ![]() Now connect the small 'male' end of the cable to your camera (the one on the left) to the DV In/Out port on the camera (DUPLICATE IMAGE)
Then, you should be good to go. Best of luck! ![]() Stuff and things

Yep. Assuming that you do not have driver issues with the card and your computer can take PCI cards. Most desktops can though. The reviews of the card suggest it was working with Vista, and I assume 7. Stuff and things

On my Canon HV20, it had two settings, play and record. To do transfers, I needed to set the camera to the play settings. Oh, one more thing. I would ask the person your purchased it from if they were particular about using wet or dry DV tapes; where they differ in lubrication. They might not even know, or care. However, many people will only use one or the other and its best to stick with one type, or at least that is what I've been told. A google search will tell you more. I think I have driver problems. I took couple of pictures with my GL2 and to transfer pictures, I only need a USB cable. I connected the camcorder to my computer but it does not recognize my camcorder... Todd Lambert I don't like titles ![]() More info | Mar 07, 2010 14:57 | #23 I will say that the photo quality of the GL2 is crap. I wouldn't get too hung up on using it, I certainly didn't. It's the equivalent of a 2.5mp point and shoot.

Just move along and spend your time looking up things in your manual and not sharing them with him.....
