...attached to my Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS lens on a Canon 30D.

OK, so there were three little "Star of Bethlehem" wildflowers that I came across while toting my 30D and 70-200 2.8 IS. So I took a couple of photos with just the 70-200. Here is an example WITHOUT the 500D.

1/1600 sec at f/11; ISO 400; EC = -1/3; Focal length 130mm

Then I added the 500D close-up lens (filter) and zoomed in on the two flowers to the left.
1/400sec at f/11; ISO 400: EC = -1/3; Focal length 95mm

And then with the 500D, I moved in on the single flower to the right.
1/320 sec at f/11; ISO 400; EC = -1/3; Focal lenth 95mm

And finally I moved a bit to the right for this Buttercup shot also with the 500D and 70-200 2.8 IS.
1/500sec at f/11; ISO 400; EC = -2/3; Focal length 200mm

OK, I have been using lens and filter interchangably for the 500D because some call it a lens while it looks and works more like a filter that attaches to whatever lens you are using. Canon makes a 250D which I think work best on lenses up to 70mm and the 500D for lenses longer than 70mm.

The price will vary depending on the diameter. Mine is 77mm for use with the 70-200 f/2.8L IS and 400mm f/5.6L. I think I paid somewhere around $125 to $150 for the 500D.

Very good photos! I'm not an expert but I think that the colors could be better... somebody thinks that too?

May be is due to the type of green of the background.

I have some photos on macro too but with a much less professional camera. Take a look at some of them:

Multiple petals pink flower at sunset light:
