Macro DSLR Speed Challenge #65
Unknown

With this topic, try to show a subject viewed at macro magnifications
that isn't easily recognized. Any macro photo of any subject will fit this weeks topic,
but try to get your photo to hide its identity.

Good Luck with your subjects

Standard Rules apply:
Photo Submissions:

1. Camera - Any Canon DSLR camera
2. Lens - Any lens, or attachment that can give Macro photos (ex. extension tubes, bellows, macro filters, reverse mounted lens and of course a true macro lens.).
3. Time - any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
4. Size - Please see the Image posting rules.
5. Post-Processing - do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
6. Posting -
* ONE MACRO PHOTO per photographer in each challenge.
* Photo Name/Title in the message.
* Camera model & lens used in the message.
* Post brief Exif data including ISO, shutter speed and aperture used in the message.
* Notes - anything you feel you need to explain.
7. Commenting - No commenting during challenge. When the posting is closed and a winner has been declared, comments can be made in this thread.
8. Questions - Use PM
9. Have FUN! :)

One challenge every week, on the following schedule:

* New Topic - After winner is declared.
* Posting Starts - Right after topic is announced.
* Posting Ends - 06:00 PM EST (Eastern) Thursday, March 18, 2010. Winner will be announced shortly thereafter.
* Winner from this competition decides the theme of the next one (and judges it for a winner) after this competition is closed.

Thanks for hosting this challenge and picking my photo John.

No its not a TV :) its the pattern made by the back of my Ikea chair (external link) and the background lit by the flash yellow gel.

I tried with different colors (and also some other "unknown" objects - see my flickr) and in the end I had to ask my girlfriend pick the "best" one, so I have to thank her, she did a good job lol

deathcake: usb connector? you should take care of the lightning...
Jason C: I don't find it amazing, but man, I just love the pattern on the background.
jetcode: a statue maybe? either metal or stone?
Flo: flower, fabrics?
lavanut: that metal circle is very intriguing, earing maybe? The OOF create a nice composition, well done.

And yes, please tell us what it was :)

I'll start a new challenge asap, just have to come up with something.

Congrats, Warl0rd! That was a cool shot. I didn't know what it was either.

Mine was a closeup of a light bulb filament, rotated 90 degrees clockwise. I thought by rotating it, a few more of you might have a little harder time figuring out what it was. :)

Cool idea for a challenge John!

Congrats Joe, and wtg Lisa and Warl0rd! Good stuff, John and some creative captures from all.

I will post an image of what the submission came from, and even include the background as well for War....which I also liked the pattern the backgroung produced.
