Jessica....walking in a winter wonderland

We had some crazy frozen fog in WI a little while back and I ended up shooting 4 of my senior reps in the winter fun. Jessica was first up.

I love the colorful scarf with her black hair and pale skin
striking, I like this set a lot
my daughter has skin like that, at times, its hard to get everything exposed right when working with such a pale skinned person and you did a great job!

Wow. #1 for me. The only thing I could nit-pick is her right iris seems a half-stop briighter than her left. But again. Wow. Great shots and love the pp of all.

Do you think she would appreciate it if you color-corrected her lighter brown roots showing up at her part?

The photos are awesome -- I really like the second one.

Foolish....I probably *should* do that. I'm lazy though...I'll wait and see what she orders.

Very nice shots, the sharpness of the snowflakes makes her look all the softer.

I checked the EXIF data (I'm still learning) and was curious why the second shot was 1/25 at f/9 and ISO 800? Can you explain the thinking behind these settings, I'm just wondering why you chose f/9 and such a slow shutter speed. If I did that I'd get camera shake and subject motion.

Wow! These are wonderful images. I love close head shots, and with Jessica's eyes you have done a brilliant job.

As someone earlier had mentioned, I noted too that in the first image her right eye (closest) is brighter than her left, but yet in the second image her left eye (also closest) is brighter. Could it be from the jacket that you were wearing?

The only other thing is that the last image seems to have a slight green cast to it. This is apparent in the snow behind Jessica, and the slight change in skin pallor.

But still, Jessica's eyes are simply beautiful to behold, and you have done very well to capture that of her.

Ummm.....I don't know. It was really dark and I was busily laughing at the antics of my father in law and husband. I had take out truck, gotten it stuck, they got our truck unstuck but my father in law got his majorly stuck so my hubby had to go get the firemen's brush truck with a winch on it to get them out. I probably didn't pay attention to settings like a dolt.

Thanks for the info. I'll look closer at the mentioned issues. I was wearing a whiteish coat so that could be it.

Great job...I just wish her lashes were thicker but that is out of your control. Love the colors and skin tones on these!

I would tone back the skin smoothing just a little bit. It makes her look sort of like a wax doll. Other than that, I have no complaint. These were marvelously executed.
