Well, I know I`m gonna get depressed by the comments, but I'm already used for that, and I guess that's a great way to improve, so c&c are welcome, as always.
Anyway, my class asked me to shoot them for our upcoming yearbook, with the theme being The Mafia (I didn`t really agree with this theme, but it wasnt my choice).
School provided the lightning (which was a old non working joke), and a very strange paper as a backdrop.
SuperJEW - because I really didn't have another idea, and he has a yamaka (kippah), so...

It's not bad, but the shadows hurt it as a whole. Better lighting would of made more a much more impressive photo. It also seems slightly soft? (At work though, could be the monitor)

Overall though, it really is not bad! :D

Totally agree about the shadows - Do you mean better light source, or better positions of the lights?
I didnt have control about the source - school provided. It was a regular hmm...ceiling? light bulb, stuck inside a world war 2 helmet (or a very old army soup bowl :\).

I guess thats the style, he is not that small (not huge either) and as far as I can remember, the watch is not huge (but again, not tiny :P)
