Had a nice day out, and took about 240 shots but nothing worth shouting about, so i post these ones instead.
Mr Bennett and McNell pushing the little Corsa really hard, the sun is causing a few problems for the navigator..

But not to worry because some of the finest Marshalls in the land come to the rescue and after reassuring the stricken crew, take in the beautiful view and compliment the crew on a fine place to park their rally car on a sunny morning in the heart of the Lake District.
The stage is stopped because the crew daren't get out of the car for fear of it rolling off further down the hill, and if you look carefully you can see the Rescue team as they swing into action (at the top of the picture behind some trees).
With great care the rescue begins........
I can safely say the crew were......shall we say ' bricking it'....

The path that the car has come to rest on is actually part of a great mountainbike trail which goes all over the forest, so it's a good job they shut it all down for the rally, anyway to continue,
A rescue plan is hatched, a rope is tied off to the roll cage, and fastened off round a sturdy tree and the crew alight from the car, to a warm ripple of applause..
Finally the stage restarts all is well and the car is left for recovery later.
You can just about see where the car left the stage, it's quite a long way from the corner ?, and the hill it went down is really steep, my pictures don't really show how steep it is.
In the background is part of the Skiddaw mountain range, with the pretty lakeland Town of Keswick just off to the right out of shot.
The crew were really lucky here, because they could easily of gone much, much further down this hill......
Hope you enjoyed these.
