Quick question:

In the US, is markinsamerica.com the only place to buy their ball heads? I'd go with eBay for the free shipping, but I doubt they have the new version Q3 Traveler. Any other websites to buy it from?

I'm just asking because they are asking for $22 shipping and was curious to see if there are other places with free or cheaper shipping. Thanks.

I sent a question to one of sellers on eBay (why are they all in asia?) if it's the new version, I have yet to hear back in 2 days.

I requested that if it's not that they should list the new version with the lever lock as I would buy from them. We'll see what happens...

Thanks, please post their reply. I just assumed the eBay sellers from asia probably won't have the new version, my logic for that assumption might be flawed though. (because Markins is a Korean brand?)

I might switch over and try out a Photo Clam instead. I'm a little scared though because I thought my Q3 was excellent.

Wow, I didn't realize they carried Markins. That's cool!

eBay seller 'dhsummer' said that the version they are selling IS the new version with more space (even though the old version is pictured) however they do not have the lever release version yet.

I wish they would sell one without a clamp...

Thanks for the info!

But I just decided to get a Photo Clam ball head instead. Seems to be the same if not better than Markins, and about $100 cheaper. Shipping is half the price also.
