This was a s/1/2, f/4.5 iso 400 pan on the infamous Woodward Ave. I didn't want "clean" pans so it came out basically what I wanted, not perfect though.

I'd try and find a spot where you can be further away. Being so close will make it much more tricky - you'll need to track much faster and you'll find it hard to have the entire vehicle in focus. Also, if you're looking to eventually transfer that practice to a racetrack, you'll end up relearning because the race cars will be further away and you'll need slower shutter speeds etc.
