I have been waiting for over a year and finally have the cash to make the switch. I got a great deal at Cameta through their Ebay site($3,479-$200BCB). If anyone is looking for a good deal, they are much cheaper than the prices currently offered from other canon authorized sellers like adorama and B&H. I will of course update this thread if I have any issues.

I also ordered another battery and a 16gb transcend 400X card. The price at newegg for the transcend was also very good.

Now I just have to wait.... Oh, and put my crop lenses up for sale.

You think I'll have trouble selling the tokina 11-16?

That's my main setup and a great combo .. keep your 11-16 for a while, it still mounts on the 5D and works without vignetting at the longer focal lengths.

So you got the 5D2+24-70 for a net of $3279? That's a fantastic deal. This was a combo deal? I've dealt with Cameta many times over the last six or so years and they've always been a good dealer to do business with.

Yeah, and I got another $62 in Ebay Bucks. I searched for a week to find the best deal on both the body and lens and this was what I found. Yes, it is a combo if you go to their Ebay Store.

I saw that. They also have the 5D2 body only for about $2100 after Bing and eBay bucks.

I'm good on bodies and wide/medium lenses. I am in the market for a 400 f/5.6 but haven't seen anything tempting enough to make me pull the trigger.

Good luck! Let me know if you do have any issues there. I'm about to buy a 5dmII through their ebay store as well. I'm just waiting for a check to clear at my bank.

Get a grip..the 'Brick' will make the nose of your Mark II dip hard without it. The weight helps to balance her off.
