Playing about with my new Sigma 24-70 f2.8 on my little old Rebel (400d).

I don't usually do this type of thing so comments would be very much appreciated (good or bad).

Interesting stuff...great colors.

The great colors(and the imperfections) all pop out at you.

Thanks Westernminnguy, I can see what you mean about the imperfections, maybe they need a little smoothing? I took them for a hairdressing competition and no digital manipulation was allowed.

I've only had it a couple of days but what I have taken so far I have been very pleased with (I also have its big brother the Sigma 120-300 f2.8 which I have been delighted with).

I love the color and the imperfections. I think that is what makes them look like beautiful ladies and not mannequins.

Thanks BazV, all three were manual control at f8, 1/125, ISO 100 and the focal lengths were 45mm, 58mm & 36mm. The lighting was a single speedlight on the camera bounced off the ceiling, hope this answers your questions.

Cheers GoRk, they don't look to bad on my monitor but I will take your advice and have a play around.

Thanks MDJAK, It's not a wig (I sat watching for about 2 hours while she had her hair done)
