Whoa.. I guess I'm old fashioned. I much prefer a happy SO. Over the years I have discovered that a happy SO leads to less stress which leads to other things that make life so much better. So I guess I prefer a smile on my face and a song in my heart over the Snidely Whiplash scheming. ;):)

Oh no, we're super happy. Just like to prank each other more often than not :p :)

As for the 28-75, I'm sure that I just got a bad copy.

First DSLR, eh? This gives me a chance to dig into the archives. Wow, my PP was primitive five years ago. Spent the last couple of hours reprocessing pics from my first ride with my 300D.

It was a gray, cold day but we were lucky - we caught the wildflowers in bloom.

I've been going through a bunch of pics and noticed something. Almost all the pics I took from the XT have been culled out of the heard. Very few survive. But I did find the third pic I ever took with the XT. It was taken through the windshield in the parking lot of TJs waiting for my wife to finish shopping. It's downright embarrassing to post, but here it is.

Well then! The 30D was my first DSLR, got it in late '06. Like was mentioned above, LR is nice for quickly grabbing camera exif, but it's harder for me to sort through my PBse shots in a way I like:(!

With the 30D and the 100-400, July '07, 5 miles away from the Mt. St. Helens crater:

Here's another from the 30D shot with the consumer 70-300 IS of Beacon Rock, WA in the Columbia River Gorge, May '07:

Here is another old XT pic. Every year we have a tractor race right around thanksgiving. It's sort of goofy but it has grown every year. This was from the first one we had several years ago.

Tractor race looks like fun. Did anyone from this area make it to the Portland iditarod on Saturday?

I came into DSLRs blindly...never knew about raw...P mode, M mode etc. So the first day or two I was in green box mode...

Then someone slapped me and said only use M mode. Stuck with me since, as I love having control of pretty much every aspect of taking a shot.

Like I said earlier, thanks to you good folks, and a few others within this forum, I've learned a crap load that I now am a little better at getting a good shot :) So cheers to all of you :D

I've never ever used green box. I guess I should try it sometime. I must of read enough in POTN while waiting for my camera, to know what modes to use. Ok off to look for a couple of my first DSLR pics.

The rose is the very first pic taken after getting my camera. The other two are taken a few days/months later.
