Really cute kid, tKB.

I didn't realize this lens was so sharp. What focal length on those? The color rendition seems very neutral as well.

Thanks. They were taken at 55 and 65mm.

I think the color is a bit neutral, which is good and bad. It doesn't have the pop and contrast of some nicer lenses, but it is very sharp and gives reliable results.

Nice captures. I need to take my nifty two-fifty to the zoo and give it a workout. Hasn't been seeing much use lately.

Daniel that first one of the bee on the yellow flower is jaw dropping! Excellent work!! Is that a crop or did you use extension tubes?

Thanks! It's a crop, like 50%. Used DPP to process the RAW file, but not much is done, just increased sharpness and tuned the white balance manually.

Here's some exif data if you find it useful

Shooting Mode Aperture-Priority AE
Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/250
Av( Aperture Value ) 7.1
Metering Mode Spot Metering
Exposure Compensation 0
ISO Speed 125
Auto ISO Speed ON
Lens EF-S55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS
Focal Length 250.0mm
White Balance Mode Daylight
AF Mode One-Shot AF
