All of these were shot using my Digital Rebel XT (silver) and 18-55 kit lens. I know it's not my camera in the images but they don't look THAT different. Looking at all these other cameras posted here makes me want to buy a battery grip and 580ex.

1.) My Uncle's Digital Rebel with my 70-200/F2.8

3.) My 50/F1.4 (lens cap I think is from the 28-70, I don't know because I shot these in early '08)

4.) My 50, 24-70, 70-200, my Uncle's Rebel, 28-70 (I think) and 100 Macro, plus a bit of the background set-up (obviously didn't bother editing this one)

NICE! :) I don't recall ever seeing that tripod base before, what a neat idea.
I have an old Rebel II that was the "only" camera Canon ever made that has a soft focus function on the control dial. The way it worked when set was to take the photo in sharp focus, then throw the lens slightly out while the exposure was still being made.

The control dial. Note the "SF" on it. :)

Haha yes it's a neat feature though it rarely gets used. I love using this camera. Interesting feature on the Rebel II as well.

@Zoom_Zoom Yes it has been heavily used since about '99:D

Nice... how compatible have you found the cokin holder? I'm thinking of getting one for video work.

It's great, I have no complaints - I have some Hitech filter's on order wich are way cheaper than the Lee system...

Haha! Great shots, Markito! Did you get finger prints on your filter?

LOTS of finger prints. But, if you don't take those opportunities, you never get shots like these.

Thanks all for the kind words. :)

Markitos, I love 2 and 4... if he becomes a photographer someday, he's gonna love number 4! Shots like those are what I hope to one day capture of my daughter.

All,
BTW this is my first post, I've read --- er drooled ---- over this entire thread! Great camera porn... I know, I know, it's not the equipment... and all that, but I can drool, can't I? HAHA.

I'm getting a 40D and a 70-300mm USM IS as soon as I can scrape the money together. I've only ever shot film SLRs (I only kept my very first one, a Ricoh KR-5sv) and I have a Powershot A550. <---- bleh! I can't wait to get the 40D. :D

Thanks for all the great pictures!

I've always been curious why people sometimes take over the logo and model of a camera ?

I tape over logos on my cameras, no reason to be a walking advertisement. Especially the stock camera straps with CANON 5D MARK II written in bold lettering.

"HEY GUYS I'M A 5D MARK II, STEAL ME!"
