i will be buying a canon 50D in the next 2 weeks, i was wondering if i should pair it with the canon ef 50 1.4 or the sigma 1.4... please share your thoughts

OP, do some research into it and you'll realize that many complain about AF issues that (whan teken in sum appear to indicate a design issue) are relaitvely consistent. Never tried a siggy, but have owned the 50/1.4 and it is a very good lens. I had to sell it in order to afford a new camera, and will likely repllace it with the same. Current: 5DM3, 6D, 8mm fish, 24-105/4IS, 35/2IS, 70-200/2.8IS, 85/1.8, 100-400/IS v1, lensbaby composer with edge 80, 580's and AB800's
