Maybe the gap at clearways depending on the your lens length or the outside of druids , down the hill a bit facing up at druids .

Or maybe the inside of Surtees .

You should be fine in all of those places then mate . And with a 500mm you could even try the bottom of Paddock Hill .

Inside of Surtees now has really high ugly fencing, which is a shame, as it used to be a great place to shoot from.

EDIT - Ragamuffin - how do you find the 50-500 (I assume it's the Sigma one?) for motorsports?

Hi Ingsy yes it is a sigma, not had chance to shoot much motorsport with the lens yet as i only got it late last year, did manage to get to a karting meeting and found the lens great.

Ragamuffin - thanks for letting me know. I think I may have to hire this for an event to try it out.

Just out of interest though, how did you find the weight - I understand it's a bit heavy & a monopod is needed?

Any chance of seeing some of the images you got with it?

I didnt find the weight a problem, yes it is a bit heavy and i do use a monopod, if you need to for a short time you can use handheld ok.

will try and post some shots on here for you.
