A few "feet dry" shots from the Atlanta Aquarium over the Christmas holiday.

Nothing earth shattering, but I had fun - and learned that it is VERY hard to shoot through dirty glass with low light, and the AI servo fighting the glass/fish from a focal standpoint.

Enjoy ;)

Some great pictures there, c'mon when are you going to get your feet wet and start blowing bubbles? ,,,,,,,,,,,,, you know you want to :-)

Alas, I'm one of those "one in a thousand" unlucky individuals who can't equalize Neil. I had some serious adenoid problems as a kid (which also messed up my eustachian tubes). I learned this the hard way trying my first dive (it was crash course resort dive in St. Martin) and promptly blew out my left ear drum.

The Ear/Nose/Throat doc pretty much told me that my 30 second diving career was over. I make do with snorkeling though, and if the water is a meter or so deep I do pretty well. I need to buy a camera bag.

There ya have it :(

Flying isn't much fun either (and that's partly because I 'm 6'4") :-)

I am 6'6" the trick is to turn left when you get on the plane.

LOL.

Whoever said "getting there is half the fun" hasn't experienced modern air travel.

Me and the wife taking photos of each other with our new little Canon D10 Powershot. This was our warm-up dive,
first time trying to take photos underwater.

The water in Eleuthera Bahamas was so clear! We felt like we were flying.

No pics, but be very careful the D10 is only rated to 10 meters (33 feet)

I was so close to shore... we were still in the wave break, so the water was a bit cloudy with sand,
until we swam out another 20 yards and the water cleared up perfectly. Bonaire has the best coral!

Royal Gramma wouldn't let me get close enough for a clear shot. So I did the best I could
in about 15 feel of water, and holding my breath for as long as I could.

Here's a few of mine, nothing too spectacular but a bit of underwater photography while on holiday is a lot of fun! They're all just taken with a Powershot A640 in Canon housing while snorkelling in the Red Sea in Egypt or Israel... lots more on my flickr (external link)

I spotted the ray way-off in the distance, and it was time to try out my turbo fins, to see if I could catch-up with him.
