Hello
today will be my first time shooting a baseball game, im excited to see what results i get, now i need a few tips from you guys, here is what i will be using:

Canon XSI 28-135 F/4.5-5.6 IS USM, 75-300 F/4.5-5.6

I will be sitting about 8 rows from the first baseline and im getting there early to shoot some shots of batting practice

Any pointers how i can get some good clear shots?

Thanks

The challenges you'll face are what to cover and what to miss. It's easy to have too much action during a play to cover everything that happens. The obvious hot spot is at home plate, but you can have action on the pitching mound, the basepaths and the outfield all at once. Experience will eventually teach you where to look for the best chance of catching the best action.

Here is a link to a post on another forum, it is about sports shooting in general and does not cover shooting from the stands, but it does have some good sports shooting info. It is a day or night game ?

Resized and sharpened, nothing more. From an XTi set at ISO 400 and Program AE autoexposure. It helps to have lots of light that's coming from the correct direction, as happened here.
