I bought my 50D on eBay from Cameta Auction for $849 plus $70 cash back from Bing in December. Cameta delivered as promised and very recommended. They are a Canon authorized dealer. I registered my camera with Canon after receiving it. Check them out if you're in the market for a 50D.

Looks like more than just a few on RSR with the usual B&S tactics and order cancelations if the buyer doesn't bite on the upsell.

Dell has it for the same price - but you will pay tax.

calm down boys. Rating are even worse at reseller and it's clear you are taking chances when you buy from this store.

well you quoted my reply regarding the pricegrabber rating of 4.5*. what did you want me to do? read your mind?

even at reseller the average is 7.7 all time, but a poor 3.1 in the past 6 months - 8 reviews.

yeah you're taking a chance with this place, either order and hope you don't get b&s or upsold and they send it, or don't try at all. From experience at a few other stores i've tried with a decent lifetime rating (with people stating b&s or upselling other accessories) it didn't happen to me and I got my order just fine.

I posted this in the 50D rebate thread as well, but this is the best deal that I found.

I pulled the trigger last night on a new 50d from Hotdigital on Ebay for $899 with $72 instant cash back and $27 back with Mr Rebate. Hot digital is the ebay name for Focus Camera which is an authorized reseller, based on what other forum members have told me.

Looks like they were doing OK but in last 6 months they accumulated some bad ratings at both websites. So as I said may be they are going down the hill now.
