Could you take a picture of that combo with both the 300mm f/2.8L IS and the 500mm f/4L IS mounted, please? :D

Not at the same time, of course! :p

Thanks Jay!

You want a picture OF the 300 and 500 on the 7D or WITH the 300 and 500 on the 7D? :D

OF, of course! Hahaha I need something to look up to! (And some gear porn, too! Shhh!)

I don't need pictures taken WITH that gear, as I know they can be anything but amazing!

A 5DII is definitely on my list, it's just not 'next' on my list.

Hopefully a new MacBook Pro soon, my current one is getting a bit old. Other than that I think I'm pretty content with my gear, perhaps a 500mm when they come out with a new one but that will be several years away.

I frequent MR as well, but I don't have any extra money laying around right now. I'm actually considering the sale of my 135L to feel like I actually have money in my bank account :(

Nothing hopefully. I went a bit berserk today and got:

055xPROB (with bag)
486RC2
70-200VR f/2.8 MKI
D200 gripped
AFS 28-70mm f/2.8

All these should complete my existing gripped D700, SB900 and AFD 50mm f/1.4. Apart from CPL and ND's, I should not buy anymore for a long time!

Where to start? I have seen so many posts that remind me what is on the list (a list that I keep trying to finish!!)

  • A set of square filters for vacation in June
  • A new computer (building a desktop PC to replace my current laptop; laptop goes to on-location duty)
  • Adobe CS5 (Thank you student bookstore!)
  • A new bag that is a bit smaller so I don't feel the need to take EVERYTHING with me ALL the time...
  • A ball head for my monopod
  • Possibly a new, stabilized 70-200 f/2.8 (waiting to see reviews on the Sigma or hoping Tamron updates their's with VC & USD)
  • 5d mk II
  • Another flash (I've got a line on a 580EX, just deciding on pulling the trigger)
  • Studio Strobes & accessories

That's roughly in order, but you never know what's going to happen. I figure with the current state of my job, and trying to pay for school, that list may only take about 2 more years.... ;)
