Ok I have been hearing how the 70-200 f/2.8 V2 performs so well with both the 1.4 and 2x teleconverters so today I had a chance to try it myself with my tamron Af Pro 2x and I have to say I was quite pleased with the results let me know what you guys think Thanks

Alan

Both are shot f/5.6 @365mm with my 7d

Thank you thumbs up The 70-200mm V2 is an awesome lens and it lived up to expectations with the teleconverter attached

Performance at f/5.6 with the 2x teleconverter would be the only reason why I could consider upgrading my 70-200 f/2.8 mk1 to mk2.

This thread could really help, but almost any shot will look good when resized to web dimensions.
It would be great to see 100% crops of real subjects like Alan's (no charts !).

P.S. Alan, I don't like the negative-bokeh in both shots. I wonder if it is due to the Tamron TC ?

The negative bokeh I think at least on the train shot was due to the fact I was standing on a bluff shooting down through a lot of tree limbs at the train which was on a bridge about 30 feet above a stream I was actually quite surprised I was able to even focus in at all on the train considering all the obstacles I had to shoot through.

Ha! And here I thought the shot was of a toy (model) train!

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Was the train moving at the time, or was it out of comission?

OK here's the story the train is moving this the kind of train that is at our local zoo it has someone operating it and a about 8 cars being pulled behind it on actual train tracks for about a half mile ride.

Nice, it sounds like a nice place. I'm sure a lot of people have good memories there. Nice way to capture some. Which looks like the adorable little girl is doing. Good job
