I'm debating whether to have it sent to canon or is this as good as it's going to get. It looks to me like the focus is on the nose, or maybe closer to the upper lip. If any one portion of the image is in focus then the lens it doing its job. It's up to you to plan out your focal plane at a very narrow "slice" of the image, or to stop down the aperture until more is in focus. Tony

Mine works really well in daylight, I get nice crisp images, but there have been multiple shoots now in low light where most of the images just suck, now I know that higher ISO images will never be as clean, but lets be honest, the 1D3 and 5DmkII can handle ISO1600 pretty well. -Abram-

Maybe there is someone examples of images? I would like to buy one, but do test shots I can not - only to order via internet shops. ![]() Thanks

I feel like I must be doing something wrong, I'm working outside the "danger zone" trying to keep my distance at greater than 6ft, but I am shooting in the f/1.4-2.0 range a lot. Most of the images from a recent live show that I shot are just no good, where, by comparison, the shots I took with the 24-70 are still more than acceptable. Am I just expecting too much? It's getting frustrating though because I feel like I can't rely on this lens for important low light work anymore, which is the whole reason I bought it for. (Though it does do exceptionally well at video) I have done shots wide open and smaller aperture in the danger zone in low light and other than noise, the shots are good. What do you mean by the images are no good? Any sample pics? Leica M | Sony a7R | Fujfilm X-Pro 1
