A perfect used 200L 2.8 for $500 that was probably the sharpest/cleanest lens I've ever had and that was wide open, even great with the Canon 2x tele extender.

I got a 200L II for $400. No hood or box, though.

Picked up a Tokina 11-16 f2.8 for $500 Cdn. When I saw it, my mouth just dropped. It was practically brand new. It had all the original document and box. The contact doesn't even show any sign of wear. I am still smiling from this deal.

Canon 7D, Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM, Canon 70-200 f4 IS, Tokina 11-16 f2.8, and Sigmalux.

A couple of my better deals:

Bought a Rebel 2000 film camera and Canon 50mm f/1.8 mark 1 lens for $36. Sold the camera body for $20 and the lens for $165.

Bought a Canon 75-300mm IS lens for $122 and sold it for $350.

Bought a Rebel XTi + aftermarket grip + Tamron 28-80mm + Tamron 75-300mm for $250. Sold everything but the XTi for about $150 which meant I paid $100 for the XTi. I'm thinking about selling the XTi now for $300-350.

85 1.8 and 28 1.8 for $250 each.

Not insane deals, but I'll take 'em.

I had two crazy good deals:

85mm F1.2 II for $650
50mm F1.2 for $650, then traded it for $200 and a 35L - so my 35L was effectively $450

and some decent deals:
70-200mm F4 IS for $600, then sold it for $800
15mm f2.8 Canon fisheye for $400
135L for $600
50mm 1.4 $200
85mm 1.8 $200
70-300 DO IS $600
24-70 for $700

Wow !! You're so lucky !!

5D II | 550D | 24-70 2.8 | 70-200 4 IS | 50 1.8 | 100 2.8 IS | 580 ex II
sold : 450d | 17-40 | 17-55 2.8 | 24-105 | 85 1.8 | 70-200 4

my best was a70-200 2.8 for $400 because of large scratch thats doesnt even effect the image quality

others have been:
35L+85L for $1800
16-35L almost brand new for $980 after cashback

i also saw a 5d2 with extra canon battery and grip, with warrenty still left for 2100 that i almost bought but was beaten

When I started out, I bought the 18-55mm IS + 55-250mm IS pretty much new from a friend for $200.

Then, I sold them for $300 ($100+$200), and bought the Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 off Craigslist for $340.
Just a few weeks back I sold the Tamron for $465.
Hopefully this streak of selling things for more than I buy them for continues :D
