Apr 13, 2010 05:31 | #17 Said I wouldn't do it, but my MK II is on the way. I already a 1.4X TC, so I will try it first. Not sure if I would use a 2X or not, but the shots here look pretty good. Sony A1, Viltrox 16mm f/1.8 FE, Sony 35mm f/1.4 GM, 24-70mm f2.8 GM II, 70-200mm F/2.8 GM OSS II, 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS, 1.4X TC, Flashpoint flashes

Apr 14, 2010 21:54 | #22 So you are using the Tamron AF SP 2X, but it doesn't seem to be in stock any where. Even the Kenko Pro models seem to be listed as discontinued or out of stock. Wonder if it is worth it to get the Canon 2X for this lens? Sony A1, Viltrox 16mm f/1.8 FE, Sony 35mm f/1.4 GM, 24-70mm f2.8 GM II, 70-200mm F/2.8 GM OSS II, 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS, 1.4X TC, Flashpoint flashes

BTW, how fast was the AF with the 2X mounted on the 70-200 II with the 7D? I know it's hard to find the Tamron in a canon mount there seems to be a lot of them available with a Nikon mount I received mine from E bay last week as far as the AF it seems maybe just a tad slower with the Converter but still pretty fast. Hope this helps. www.Marinelliphotography.com
