Taken in a rehabilitation enclosure in a local wildlife hospital. They are born with this fuzzy coat, which they lose after a few weeks. Seals have the doe-eyed look that makes you want to cuddle with them. But they have a nasty temperament. Their nearest land-relative is believed to be the bear and they have a mouthful of teeth to attest to that.
40D, EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM, ISO 320, 580-ex-II, f/11. These fellows have elongated faces. So you need lots of depth of field to get the eyes without putting the nose way out of focus.
